PBS Wisconsin and Centro Hispano of Dane County will host the sixth yearly Night of Dreaming on the net at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2. This no cost, digital foods party will celebrate the variety of Latino cuisine as cooks and panelists discuss the concept of “decolonizing dinner.” Contributors will be encouraged to engage in a candid discussion about food items appropriation, colonialism and activism in the context of Native society.
Hosts Karen Menendez Coller and Luke Zahm, host of PBS Wisconsin’s Wisconsin Foodie, will almost guide attendees through an instructional culinary journey together with renowned chefs and activists chef Elena Terry and chef Anthony Gallarday.
